What our treasured Sonoma Coast will look like over the course of the next decade is currently being updated in the County’s Local Coastal Plan (LCP). Please join us at one of these upcoming public workshops in your local community to share your views.
The LCP update addresses critical issues ranging from traffic, logging, commercial rural event centers, residential and commercial development, vacation rentals, water supply and wastewater, public access, coastal offshore oil and gas drilling facilities, sea level rise, and how we can best protect our sensitive coastal habitat. You may download individual chapters of the LCP – or the entire document – at https://sonomacounty.ca.gov/PRMD/Long-Range-Plans/Local-Coastal-Program/Public-Review-Draft/ Printed copies of the LCP are available for your review at the offices of Permit Sonoma, in the Guerneville Library, in the Sebastopol Library, in the Santa Rosa Central Library, at the Bodega Bay Post Office, at the Duncans Mills Post Office in Northwood, at the Monte Rio Post office, and at the Sea Ranch Post Office. If you are unable to attend any of these public workshops and would like to submit input, please direct your written comments to Ms. Cecily Condon right away at e-mail: [email protected]
